In the US, 21.7 MILLION pounds of ground beef has been recalled due to E. coli contamination.21.7 MILLION POUNDS! (and it wasn't even processed in China)
Apparently if one contaminated carcass is chucked into a ginormous vat... it's all contaminated... and that's the EXCUSE the processor gave.
Oh, it's OK. Only one carcass was infected.
