Cancer and Optimism; Tell Me It Isn't True!

According to BBC news, the power of the mind has been overestimated when it comes to fighting cancer, US scientists say. They said they found that a patient’s positive or negative emotional state had no direct bearing on cancer survival or disease progression.

Can I relax now? All that smiling just to stay alive.

Obviously just another piece of propaganda by US Scientist who don't want the general public to know the power of the mind. It could cost them too much in lost revenue from pharmaceuticals etc.

Bullshit BBC!!
I have overcome cancer many times -- six times I've been diagnosed with it-- never the same place as primary was in the blood. The first time in 1983 it neally killed me, but due to my positive attitude I survived. Told myself, 'as my Mother died of cancer at 44 years after an operation, I wasn't going to do the same after my operation at 43 years'!! Genetic coding can be amazing! Since then I have become wiser from the experience and treated myself every time with complementary support & remedies --always with a BIG positive attitude.Affirmations, meditations, self-healing, change of lifestyles and relationships, makes a big difference too!
The word FEAR is what you have to overcome [thats why I'm a hypnotherapist now! -- and a few other modalities]
Thanks for your great newsletters -- we are all here to help each other [without the pharma hypocrisy] Blessings Rose-marie

Where do they get this stuff.

I remember the most devastated I felt was the 1st 10day after being diagnosed with maligant melanoma.

I am more than convinced if I hadn't got my attitude in the right place I wouldn't be above ground today !!

Maintaining a positive attitude with an optimistic outlook is key to overcoming any health crisis.

That's my 2 cents

I'm new at this as it's only a year (last week) since my suprise cancer diagnosis, however I can say that the most positive experience has been the kick start it gave me into healthy diet, lifestyle and positive attitude. I feel GREAT and I reckon it's 50:50 mind:health! Suddenly I have no time for trivia and negativity and I give myself permission to end associations with those nice people who "drag me down", often with their own pessimistic slant (or experiences) on things. The most negative experience in my life these days are those damned routine visits to the specialists! Sabina
