EST PLAINS, MO — Residents here are claiming a nearby large, indoor dairy farm is contaminating their water supply, although health officials are not sure if that is true, a September 4 Associated Press story reported.
Resident Sandra Heasley said she was taking a shower last winter when suddenly the water became dark brown and smelled like cow manure. “Can you imagine getting in a shower and having cow manure coming through the shower head?” she said.
Health officials said that Heasley’s water is contaminated, but are not sure if it’s because of the nearby farm.
