Its a no brainer that everybodies Water requirements are going to be different ...if you for eg eat a high complex carb & protien diet ..ie lots of starches & animal protiens ...you will require naturally more watet than somebody who eats a high fruit & low carb (salad) vegatable diet ...
Also the level of activity , ambient heat where you live /work etc ..are all going to play a part ...overall bodymass also ...so trying too 1 size fits all regarding water requirements seems pretty useless too me.
Living in the Tropics and sweating gallons --you NEED lots of water and extra minerals. Common sense tells us that anyone living in a moist temperate climate needs less.
