FlipFlops From China

We've had the lead coated toy alert or Chinese goods, the GBH-dissolving beads from China, the contaminated foods from China, but who'd have thought that the humble flip-flop footwear (thongs to you Aussies) was dangerous?
Take a look at this.

.. and when you have, have a think about this:

China makes 70 percent of the world's penicillin, 50 percent of its aspirin and 35 percent of its acetaminophen (often sold under the brand name Tylenol®), as well as the bulk of vitamins A, B12, C and E.

Now THAT's a good reason to stay healthy.

I've always thought that Chinese made Flip Flops had a bad smell of chemicals in them. I suggest to buy HAVAIANAS only. They are made in Brazil, are very comfortable and have never posed a problem for my very sensitive feet. They may be a little more expensive but worthy. Also beware of the clogs called CROCS . There is a Chinese cheap very outgasing version being sold in 2 dollar shops. They are not healthy to wear. Regards Eva
