What We Died Of a Hundred Years ago

In 1907 the major causes of death, in order, were:

Pneumonia and influenza
Tuberculosis
Heart disease
Diarrhea
Stroke
Kidney disease
Accidents
Cancer
Premature Birth
Senility

A hundred years later, with a revolution in knowledge and healthcare, we now die of;

Heart disease
Cancer
Stroke
Chronic lower respiratory diseases (emphysema, chronic bronchitis)
Accidents
Diabetes
Pneumonia and influenza
Alzheimer's disease
Kidney disease
Septicemia (systemic infection)

Wow, I really feel better now... NOT.
