LA Times tells us that something we have all become accustomed to is about to be phased out under the increasingly green hand of The Terminator Arnie, California's green-progressive governor. Already banned in 2005 Europe and being phased out in Japan and Korea, lead wheel balance weights are to be replaced by alternate materials. It seems that lead weights end up in landfill and as such pose a serious long term community health hazard.Here in Aussie, it's ostrich time with our legislators' head planted firmly in our lead saturated earth.
