Here's a telling small video of the managing Director of Nestle Water in the US. He is reacting to criticisms of the environmental damage we see with bottled water. Note carefully; he talks all about green initiatives in his factory. But he says nothing about NOT manufacturing BILLIONS of bottles year.

As he defends Nestle's enviro record, I'd like to point out that a lot of us dislike Nestle for their frequent attempts to usurp local control of resources.
Mr. Jeffries would serve his company better by stemming the legal abuse of the tiny town of Fryeburg (sued five times by Nestle, who wants to place a truck loading station in a residential area).
Perhaps he could instruct his legal staff that subpoenaing the private financial records of opponents (McCloud) doesn't make Nestle a good corporate neighbor.
Neither does pumping a watershed to the point where a judge ordered Nestle to cease doing so (Mecosta, County, MI).
In short, Nestle is a fairly predatory company when it comes to the rural towns which supply most of its spring water, and no amount of Leeds Certification has changed that.
