Go Ian!!!!! You know what I have noticed over the last few years about Joseph Mercola and his newsletters? Usually at the end after he knocks which ever product, he promotes his own version of the same product! Wonder how long it will take to start selling water alkalisers! He does already sell filters. It's a shame because if you sort through, there is usually some reasonable info there amongst the advertisments.I'm my own living testiment about how great alkalising is and nobody can convince me otherwise!

Thanks for this post Ian, it has really helped me. As someone who is desperately trying to find out whether or not I should have an alkaliser, Mercola's email disturbed me. Long story but I guess I still wonder whether I should have one or not...BUT...I'm more convinced since you've had the audacity to put it to Mercola. I would hardly expect you'll receive a reply from.

One point though, in the final slide of your email you say that Alkaway doesn't use MLM, yet, you have people that do sell it...do they not work at a commission? Is that not MLM? sorry to be picky but I just hope that all you say is honest...as an Australian, something makes me feel you have been, and I would much prefer to take your word than Mercolas.

As a long-time subscriber to Mercola and even purchaser of his Krill Oil, this email from him REALLY upset me, and I will be delisting myself as a subscriber...

Unfortunately, for the layman like me I don't know enough about the science behind alkaline water and don't know what is correct. I can only go with my gut instinct. All I know is that I am desperate enough to recover from my condition that I'm willing to try anything...(diagnosed with MS 3yrs ago).

Appreciate this blog...keep them coming!

I'm taking an educated guess about his next move. Did youy notice that he said he had a special RO water filter 'still under test' at home. here's betting that's his next move.

Hi, Allison, thanks for your comments. given that he had such a huge response and his comments were so all-out wrong, I really think he has an alternative product in the wings. And you are right.. I received no answer.

Regarding your MLM comment: yes, we have employees and agents who sell our alkalizersbut we have the opportunity and interest to fully train them. We support them wem as employees when they don't sell much.. and we don't have the need to massively increase prices as MLm systems do. I learned recently from someone who asked us if we would go MLm that they need a 600% profit. So no, we are not MLM. We sell the ionizer and we service it. No-one else makes money from us selling it as in MLM.

Allison, stay right there.
