Brain Activation and Autism/Learning Difficulties

I mentioned some time ago a meeting I had with an amazing woman who has literally changed the future of thousands of kids with learning difficulties. At the time we video'd my meeting with Irena.

Well, she's now able to offer her program to the world. Here she is.

I'd love it if you were able to tell any friends with kids this might help.  My heart almost broke listening to the stories she related about the changes in families relationships after her program.

The Really nice thing about my job.

..is that every so often someone walks in the door and tells me his story. Mike, with his amazing story about his gout, John, with his equally amazing story about his shingles. But today a woolly headed surfer called Dan walked in. He was here to see Leon, one of our alkaline specialists, but when Leon introduced me I realised we had much in common.

You see, Dan is, I would say, a pretty typical young Aussie surfer. Liked a drink, time with his mates, big surf, and if pushed, a chance to vent his anger. He works in the mines in WA to get enough money to have all those great things. He specialises in big waves, and his friend Dan Ross introduced him to our water.

Now, one can be cynical about this if one chooses, so feel free, but when Dan began to tell his story, the hairs on the back of my neck began rising.

You see, Dan had the same experience as me, as Cassie, and as many other people. The water changed him.
Let's add a little more to the story. Dan was a VERY typical young Aussie. He was angry, and he was not averse to physicality to express his anger. Four years ago he had an altercation with a bouncer at his 'local' over a pen he used in the pub and forgot to return. He didn't hit the man. He grabbed the bouncer's walkie talkie and ran away, laughing and dancing as the burly bouncer tried to keep up. The long and short of it was that unbeknowns to Dan, there was a warrant outstanding for his arrest.

Flash forward to present day. Dan has been drinking the water. He has changed his diet. he attends the same high performance trainer as Dan Ross. He works on maintaining a positive state of mind. He does daily breath exercises because he wants total clarity as he tackles the biggest waves in the world. He works hard and plays clean.

But last week, Dan was stopped by the highway patrol as he swung onto the highway out of his hometown, Yamba.. His licence had the wrong address, and when the patrolman called in his details, he was suddenly in big trouble. "Step out of the car please Sir." The patrolman had sourced the warrant that had been on file for four years but never delivered. Dan had to leave his family in the car, and he was taken to the police station, stripped, searched, fingerprinted, and transported to the local jail. On the way, his alkaline water bottle was taken off him because 'It might be used as a weapon'. He laughed as he told us that because in the door pocket beside him was a two foot long steel baton!

Anyway, driving along with the policeman to the jail, he burst out laughing. The policeman asked what he'd missed, and Dan said 'You know, four years ago I'd have been in your face. I suddenly realised that I have been calm all the way through this whole episode!"

Eventually they arrived at the jail. Dan talked happily with the warders, even passing names and phone numbers of the manager of the mine Dan worked at to get enough money to 'live the dream'. An officer had asked Dan about himself and when Dan found his son wasn't employed, he passed on his contacts. The officer was seriously impressed, Dan was still calm and happy as they escorted him to the cell.

To cut a long story short, Dan went to court the next day. The duty solicitor told his story, the judge noted he had no record, and he was home the same day, still laughing.

Ask Dan what changed the way he thought about life.. and he says that the water changed his life. Argue about it if you like, but I'm certainly not arguing because it's my own experience.

BTW, regarding Dan's breath technique, here's a very interesting article showing he's on the right track.

Colon Health

The lowly colon is missing out on the press it deserves, considering that colon cancer is now number three cause of death in America. Sure, many people don't help themselves with being couch potatoes and batfood eaters.. and simply not drinking any water!

A colon cleanse regimen seems to be more and more popular. i well remember my own experience of two weeks of three enemas a day in a detox retreat on an idyllic Thai Island.
So let's assume you do care about your diet, and you do manage to pull yourself from the clutches of the couch and ambulate more than a few steps a day, let's look at hydration. Good hydration cleanses the whole colonic tract, and the superhydrating form of ionized water supercharges ordinary water's cleanse power.

I believe - from my own experience - that we all have a bit of a mental block about water. many people think they drink enough water but when pressed, admit that they can't remember the last drink of water. Let's face it; water ain't trendy. And in my experience I had a real problem with bloating from ordinary water. I feel a bit vindicated in research that shows that tap water can actually cause digestive problems*.

Because Alkaline ionized water is also an antioxidant, it doesn't just flush garbage away. It has the ability to actually neutralise waste. Although some vendors claim it oxygenates the body, my experience is that it assists the blood to hold oxygen, which in turn creates more available oxygen 'on tap' for our metabolism.

I met a lady recently who swore that half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda cured her husband of prostate problems. I raced home and tried it and while my hyperplasia is no better, I can't say I'm cured. But it's a simple alkalising method and very cheap, but nothing like the power of a water alkalizer, simply because it offers so many benefits!

*Tap water Study:
A study conducted by researchers from the University Of California Berkley School Of Public Health has found that drinking tap water is associated with a higher risk of stomach illnesses in persons over age 55. The study, which tracked the rates of gastrointestinal diseases in 998 elderly participants, was conducted in upscale Sonoma County. The tap water in Sonoma County is considered to be of high quality; the water comes from a protected source in the mountains, and is properly treated. Sonoma County tap water easily meets all Federal and state water quality standards.

Half of the participants in the study received water filtration systems that filtered the water to remove impurities and used UV light to kill bacteria. Half of the study’s participants received non-functioning water filtration systems. Six months into the study, it was found that participants with non-functioning water systems had a 12% higher incidence of stomach illness than those with functioning water filtration systems. Participants in the study were asked to record incidences of vomiting, diarrhea, nausea and cramps.

Researchers then swapped the working and non-working filtration systems between the two groups. The group that had the non-working systems received the working systems, and the group that had the working systems received the non working systems. Six months later the results evaluated and researchers saw that instances of stomach illnesses had dropped 12% in the group that now had the working filtration systems. Likewise, stomach illnesses reported by the group that received the non-working units rose 12%.

Northern Territory and Calcium

It's wild in the Australian outback. Just ask Oprah!

But seriously, it's beyond wild for people's health and the 'men of steel' who live out there aren't actually made of steel; they are 99% calcium! The water up North is horrible, as we learned ,many years ago when we sold an alkalizer to a lady in Tennant Creek.

You see, the problem is that the water up North is almost all Artesian, and loaded with calcium. Because a water ionizer concentrates alkaline minerals, it ended up concentrating the already-concentrated calcium, causing the alkalizer to basically choke on it shortly after delivering a water mix more chalk than water.

Today we received a call from a lady up that way. She had spent time with Leon, our alkaline specialist some weeks ago who told her we wouldn't sell her one because it wouldn't work 'up North'. Not to be dissuaded, she hunted around until she found a newer water alkalizer vendor willing to take her money.

Today she rang us.. and told her she is having all sorts of excess calcium symptoms, and asking our advice. Tell me.. what would your answer be?

Thank you Kaz!

We are losing Karen Bradley, 'Kaz' to all of us here. Kaz is returning to Melbourne to care for her aging parents; a move I respect and honour, but boy, will we miss her!

Kaz has been one of our team of alkaline specialists for quite some time and has so many friends 'out there' that she got to know through AlkaWay that she asked that I publish her resignation letter. Here it is:
"This was planned as my official resignation but it feels more like a thank you letter and testimony to a great company! The time I've spent as an Alkaline Specialist at Alkaway will always be treasured. It's been a time of great personal growth and transformation for me. I've been encouraged to expand and become more creative in communications and styles of engaging with the public. I've been encouraged to contribute within a company with high ideals and integrity that has matched my own standards and visions. I've had the privilege to build what I believe will be long standing relationships with each of the staff members of Alkaway, all of which I consider to be more than work mates, they've become valued friends. I've also been lucky enough to build some wonderful friendships with customers and I truly hope they will also continue into the future. All this from the paradise I know as Byron Bay.

It's not often that you get to work within a company that knows how to look after both their customers and their staff and realize that by doing this, they create a stronger, healthier company that will not just survive the test of time, but will flourish. Most of all, it's not that often that you get the opportunity to do what you really love and know that you are making a positive difference with people - especially in sales!

Thank you all so much for your support, patience and love over the last five months while I've been away in Melbourne. I know it's affected you and created stress for Alkaway. I'm sad to be finishing this month, yet I'm also feeling quite relieved that I can now focus on caring for my parents and exploring a new chapter in my life away from Byron Bay.
I'm sure our paths will continue to cross.

Warmest of wishes and gratitude from Kaz.

P.s.  My parents have become Alkaway's biggest fans!"

Whew. You need to be careful what you say...

Gabe Hunninghake is one of those guys that should be an investigative journalist. When he heard some nasty stories from a water ionizer salesman about another product, plus some pretty way out claims (read: hard to believe) he challenged the salesperson involved.

Their answer? Ring the company. So he did. Here's what he got.

Here's Gabe's blog and the now infamous phone conversation.

Acid vs. alkaline Post Mortem.

We have talked about our slow decline to the point in our life when acid really takes over. It's called death, and our body quickly succumbs to organic acids that well.. you get the picture.

But there are exceptions, as this page from the Smithsonian shows.

Alkaline water leaking into the mummified body did exactly the opposite. It turned the body to SOAP.

Having problems with spending too much time on the net?

Yes, yes, I'm one too. I DO spend too much unproductive time on the Net. I admit it. So this program is the obvious answer.. if you have the intestinal fortitude to use it.

(I don't).

Says it all, don't you think?

One woman's Journey and her lessons

We applaud anyone who has 'done' cancer, and one of our Alkaliser customers Kathy Austin has written a book on Cancer. I'm in the process of reading it and it is really quite good. She's obviously a good researcher!

BOOK REVIEW:

One in Three, Real Hope for Cancer, by Kathleen Austin

In Kathleen’s own words:

"I am tired of seeing friends die, too young, from cancer.

I am tired of the years of trauma suffered by the families of cancer patients.

I am tired of seeing good people cut down in their prime, when they have so much more to offer this needy world.

I am heart-broken watching children die, or lose a parent because our best minds have nothing more to offer. "

Too many deaths and six years of questions and hunting for answers, led to this book. It makes Kathleen's findings available for everyone to read. She believes that we ALL need a much better understanding of the cancer situation; preferably before it strikes us, or strikes someone we love.

The book includes the observations and reflections of many concerned doctors and health professionals whose ideas about cancer are not widely known.

Quotes from some who have read it:

"A good read", "A really refreshing look at cancer", "Fabulous", "A good overview", " I can read bits and pieces that interest me, but I will read it front to back as well", "I want three more, for my friends", "A great gift", "Unique", "I've learned a lot more".
