Georgia Tech, that powerhouse of innovation has come up with a brilliant alternative to needles. 

All your footballers who tremble at them, rejoice, salvation is at hand! 
They've miniaturised the needle idea, with hundreds of tiny dissolving needles rather than one big 'un. The needle patch is simply pushed onto the skin, the mini-needles pierce the dermis, and then dissolve, leaving the vaccine. Pretty damn smart!
